Chocolate Tiramisu
Layers of cocoa-coffee soaked lady fingers, silky mascarpone cream, and rich chocolate ganache all topped with a dusting cocoa powder, a chocolate tiramisu you’ll dream of!
Ingredients:
250 g of mascarpone cheese
300 g sweetened liquid cream
Spoon biscuits (also known as ladyfingers)
Freshly brewed and chilled coffee
Bitter cocoa powder
Chocolate chips
Instructions:
Begin by brewing several cups of coffee. Set this aside and allow it to cool.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese and the sweetened liquid cream. Using an electric mixer, whip these ingredients together until the mixture is stiff and holds its shape.
Now, it’s time to layer your tiramisu. Start by quickly dipping the spoon biscuits into the cooled coffee, ensuring each biscuit is coated but not soggy. Arrange these coffee-infused biscuits in a layer in a baking dish.
Spoon half of the whipped mascarpone and cream mixture over the arranged biscuits. To enhance the chocolate flavor, sprinkle a generous amount of chocolate chips over this layer.
Repeat the process with a second layer of coffee-dipped biscuits, followed by the remaining mascarpone cream.
To finish off, dust the surface of your tiramisu with a sprinkling of bitter cocoa powder, adding that classic tiramisu touch and a depth of flavor.
To allow the flavors to meld together and the dessert to set, place your tiramisu in the refrigerator for a minimum of 2 to 3 hours.
After it has cooled and set, your decadent chocolate tiramisu is ready to serve and enjoy!
