Southern Salmon Patties
February 19, 2025These crispy, golden salmon patties are a classic Southern comfort food! Perfect for a quick, delicious meal.
Ingredients:
1 can (14 oz) salmon (drained, skin and bones removed)
½ cup breadcrumbs (or crushed crackers)
1 egg
¼ cup onion (finely chopped)
1 tbsp parsley (chopped)
1 tbsp lemon juice
Salt and pepper to taste
¼ cup oil (for frying)
Instructions:
In a large bowl, combine the drained salmon, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, parsley, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Mix well until fully combined.
Shape the mixture into small patties (around 8-10).
Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Fry the patties for 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
Remove from skillet and drain on paper towels.
Serve warm with tartar sauce or a squeeze of lemon.
