Ingredients
-
1 lb (450 g) ground beef or Italian sausage
-
1 jar (24 oz / 680 g) marinara or pasta sauce
-
1 package (20–25 oz / 570–700 g) refrigerated cheese ravioli
-
1 cup ricotta cheese
-
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
-
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
-
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
-
½ teaspoon garlic powder
-
Salt and black pepper, to taste
-
Fresh basil or parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
Prepare the Meat Sauce
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef or sausage until browned.
Drain excess grease.
Stir in the marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
Simmer for 5–7 minutes, then remove from heat.
Assemble the Ravioli Lasagna
Spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
Add a single layer of ravioli, slightly overlapping if needed.
Top with ricotta cheese (spooned evenly), meat sauce, mozzarella, and a sprinkle of Parmesan.
Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with sauce and cheese on top.
Bake
Cover the dish loosely with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
Remove the foil and bake an additional 10–15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and lightly golden.
Rest and Serve
Remove from the oven and let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
Garnish with fresh basil or parsley if desired.
Serving Suggestions
Serve warm with garlic bread and a green salad.
This dish pairs well with roasted vegetables or steamed broccoli.
