Homemade Fudge Brownies
June 27, 2025Here’s a classic Homemade Fudge Brownies recipe — rich, chewy, with a crackly top and deep chocolate flavor. These are the brownies that disappear fast!
Ingredients:
½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
½ cup all-purpose flour
¼ tsp salt
¼ tsp baking powder
½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional, but recommended for extra fudginess)
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
Melt the butter in a saucepan or microwave. Let it cool slightly, then stir in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
Add dry ingredients:
Mix in the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until fully combined.
Fold in chocolate chips (if using) for a gooey center.
Pour into the pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter).
Cool completely in the pan before slicing.
Tips for Extra Fudgy Brownies
Don’t overbake — slightly underdone = fudgy heaven.
Chill after baking for clean cuts and a denser texture.
Add a pinch of espresso powder for deeper chocolate flavor.
