March 24, 2025A fruity twist on the classic Southern dessert! Creamy pudding, fresh strawberries, and bananas layered with vanilla wafers—simply irresistible.
Ingredients:
For the Pudding Layer:
1 box (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
2 cups cold milk
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
1 tub (8 oz) whipped topping (Cool Whip), thawed
For the Layers:
1 box (11 oz) vanilla wafers
2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
2 bananas, sliced (sprinkle with lemon juice to prevent browning)
For Garnish (Optional):
Extra whipped topping
Whole strawberries
Crushed vanilla wafers
Instructions:
Prepare the Pudding Mixture:
In a large bowl, whisk together vanilla pudding mix and cold milk until smooth.
Add sweetened condensed milk and mix until fully combined.
Gently fold in Cool Whip until smooth and creamy.
Layer the Dessert:
In a trifle dish or a 9×13-inch dish, start with a layer of vanilla wafers at the bottom.
Add a layer of banana slices and strawberries over the wafers.
Spread a layer of pudding mixture evenly over the fruit.
Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with pudding on top.
Chill & Serve:
Refrigerate for at least 4 hours (or overnight) to allow the flavors to meld and the wafers to soften.
Before serving, garnish with whipped topping, whole strawberries, and crushed vanilla wafers for a pretty finish.
Enjoy!
