Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Ingredients:
Topping:
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup ketchup
Meatloaf:
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
3/4 cup milk
2 large eggs
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 small onion, finely chopped
3/4 cup breadcrumbs
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Instructions:
Prepare the Topping:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and ketchup. Spread evenly on the bottom of a lightly greased loaf pan.
Make the Meatloaf:
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, milk, eggs, salt, pepper, chopped onion, breadcrumbs, and Worcestershire sauce.
Mix until well combined, but avoid over-mixing to keep the meatloaf tender.
Assemble and Bake:
Press the meatloaf mixture over the brown sugar and ketchup in the loaf pan.
Bake in the preheated oven for 60–70 minutes, or until the meatloaf is cooked through and has reached an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).
Serve:
Let the meatloaf rest for a few minutes before slicing.
